Cooking Gadgets
We are so happy to have finally received our great little cooking gadget. I am very fond of gadgets while in the kitchen and more fond of them if they help you with health eating. Nothing better than being able to roast your food while either in the kitchen or out camping. Then there's the great part of using North Carolina Chutney as a marinate on your freshly cut and skewered meats. I have posted a picture for your review and we have a new batch in, so, if you would like one let me know. Remember..What "Can" you do..

Really looking forward to working with Cooperative extension on the upcoming canning classes. The dates are in April set for three different evenings and if anyone might be interested please contact Megan Ray @ 910-893-7535, but you better hurry as the class is filling up quickly. If there is a great response we will also offer future classes. Please support local and Remember... " What " can you do..

Cookbook
We have entered a contest and wish that you would vote for us, our goal is to use the money to publish a cookbook about teaching the youth about canning..Remember What "Can" you do..
Farmers market
I was so excited today as i walked the aisles in Lowe's picking out seed packets for the children. A few days ago the Harnett County Cooperative extension filled out a nice letter requesting seeds and Lowe's gave us twenty five dollars worth of seeds. While we are attending the Farmers Market day we are encouraging our youth to pick out their favorite seed and plant a plant in a dixie cup. Sometimes as i'm teaching canning classes or speaking to youth groups it always comes up that vegetables are made at the grocery store. Maybe this will give them the opportunity to see things in a different view. So this is a thank you to Lowe's and our local Cooperative extension for helping with our youth groups. Remember..What "Can" you do..
