Apples and Cranberries

While i was in the kitchen cooking up a fury of apple based value added products, the first was an apple raspberriy MmmMarmalade with a hint of mint to help with the overall aesthetics of Holiday themed colors, which turned out not only pleasing to the palate but beautiful to present as gifts to friends and family, my goodness at all of the apples that a bushel contains, well now what to do with the rest of the apples since we were out of raspberries at this time, i phoned my cohart in cooking dilemas, Susie..hey..what in the world am i going to do with all of these beautiful apples..when i look up about making applesauce it calls for all of these fancy gadgets and food mills..hold on, let me get out this recipe i have been saving..rattle of paper and clanging of the phone..here try this..well..thank you my crazy greek friend..love ya..call ya later..back to the kitchen and cooking again..cooking those apples, adding brown sugar and cranberries, using a masher and masterfully making a new creation that was hard not to eat all of it before i could get it properly jarred and start the cooling process on the counter..ok..i did put a little in a bowl to have with dinner, since we always have a fruit..momma and diddy stopped by and everyone knows to always visit with me in the kitchen, ya'll have to try this..oh my goodness that Holiday MmmMarmalade is wonderful..oh but you must try this..wow..how many jars do you have of that..well..here's one, later that afternoon i got a call and they needed another jar..so thank you my crazy greek friend, and Mott's move over, Mrs. Picky is in the kitchen

holiday MmmMarmalade

What a wonderful time of the year, i was so fortunate that at the last Food Festival my great friends from Shamrock honey had a booth and we exchanged products, well i could not wait to get back home and make a beautiful batch of marmalade using their honey, and apples, a little bit of Raspberries, orange peel, spices and a touch of mint..WOW not only is it beautiful but delicious as well..
