Jacob's Crazy Good Ketchup
My youngest son Jacob entered his ketchup this past year in the NC State Fair and won a beautiful First place blue ribbon. We have been working on label design and sending off samples to state for nutritional facts and buying proper UPC codes. We are so happy with the spicy flavor and the beautiful color and we are planning on selling at the Erwin Farmers Market. Stay tuned for retail locations and testimonials..Remember..What Can you Do..

Pinto Beans for You'ens...
What a wonderful way to savor the flavor, the ham was wonderful at our Christmas dinner but as always the leftovers is delicious as well. I like to buy a bag of Pinto Beans, put them in the crock pot, cover with water, add the ham bone and ham pieces, a little salt, sugar and seasonings, cook all day and and make a big ol pan of cornbread to sop up the juices or you can crumble it over the meal. What a great way to use leftovers, very budget friendly and always remember..don't waste even a taste. The leftovers are great in the refrigerator and can be used as sides during the week..until next time..You'ens enjoy..

Mrs. Picky's Biskits
WOW what a summer..so busy and completely forgot to blog about my adventures. Well i must tell ya i had a wonderful time in Knoxville at the International Biscuit Festival and not to boast but the prizes made me so happy and the prizes kept coming even after i got home. So this adventure has led to another idea which i have had in the back of the mind pantry for awhile. I have worked so hard in pairings and coming up with a true southern Biscuit. The ideal purpose is to put a nice jar of Marmalade or as we have them labeled MmmMarmalade in a sweet bakery box with a half dozen biscuits, thus and, tada.."Biskits". So i have now ordered the labels and the bakery boxes, took a load of pictures and perfected a few great recipes. I am now looking for about a dozen recipients that i can mail the boxes to and receive feedback on them. Please email me at jodycurrin@aol.com with an address and let the " biskit" business begin.

Alexa rating
Well, as you probably know i'm not the most savvy blog writer in the world. My thoughts go astray and my spelling is sometimes a little off. But, in my heart i have a very strong urge to not only teach our youth but to share as well. I have been working feverishly on making a new MmmMarmalade and have burned a few pots in the process. today i went back to the strawberry farm to ask when i could come back out to pick again. So, monday i will be wearing my shade hat, bucket in tow and best of all i'm taking jacob with me. Although jacob is in a wheelchair he can still point to the fattest strawberries and watch me in this labor of love. We have decided upon a great name for the newest and cannot wait till it is time to let everyone taste sample. On another note, what the heck is this alexa rating and how do i increase my numbers?

Cooking Gadgets
We are so happy to have finally received our great little cooking gadget. I am very fond of gadgets while in the kitchen and more fond of them if they help you with health eating. Nothing better than being able to roast your food while either in the kitchen or out camping. Then there's the great part of using North Carolina Chutney as a marinate on your freshly cut and skewered meats. I have posted a picture for your review and we have a new batch in, so, if you would like one let me know. Remember..What "Can" you do..
